Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Biomaterials Engineering Manager to lead our innovative team in the development and commercialization of cutting-edge biomaterials. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and scientists in the design, development, and optimization of biomaterials for various medical applications.
- Develop and implement strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Oversee the evaluation and selection of biomaterials, conducting comprehensive material characterization and performance testing.
- Collaborate with R&D, regulatory, and production teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Drive innovation by staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in biomaterials.
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, delivering regular updates on project status and outcomes.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in biomaterials development and engineering, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong knowledge of biomaterial properties, processing techniques, and characterization methods.
- Experience with regulatory submissions and compliance in the biomedical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in polymer science, tissue engineering, or drug delivery systems.
- Proven record of successful product development from concept to market.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in material characterization techniques such as FTIR, NMR, TGA, and mechanical testing.
- Proficiency in CAD software for material design and modeling.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and software for data evaluation.
