Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Bio-Mechanical Engineering to lead our innovative team in developing cutting-edge bio-mechanical systems that enhance human performance and mobility. In this pivotal leadership role, you will drive strategic initiatives, oversee complex engineering projects, and champion the integration of advanced technologies into our product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers in the design, development, and optimization of bio-mechanical devices and systems.
- Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for bio-mechanical engineering projects, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and market needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into cohesive bio-mechanical solutions.
- Establish best practices in engineering processes, quality assurance, and project management to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to explore new technologies and methodologies.
- Engage with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in bio-mechanical engineering to maintain a competitive edge.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in bio-mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of biomechanics, materials science, and mechanical system design principles.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership, including mentoring and developing engineering talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Experience with regulatory compliance for medical devices and bio-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in advanced modeling and simulation tools, such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or COMSOL.
- Track record of successful product launches and commercialization of bio-mechanical innovations.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in CAD software and rapid prototyping technologies.
- Knowledge of control systems, sensors, and actuators used in bio-mechanical applications.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies for performance evaluation of bio-mechanical systems.
