Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Biomedical Engineering Manager to lead our team in developing innovative medical devices and technologies. In this strategic role, you will oversee project management, guide engineering teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while driving the development of cutting-edge solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of biomedical engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of medical devices, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of engineering projects from concept through to commercialization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, quality assurance, and marketing, to align product development with strategic business objectives.
- Conduct risk management assessments and implement design controls to ensure product safety and efficacy.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to inform product development and strategic planning.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in biomedical engineering, with a demonstrated track record of managing engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations, ISO standards, and risk management processes.
- Proven experience in project management, including leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Preferred:
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in developing medical devices from concept to market.
- Knowledge of software development processes and experience with embedded systems.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for device design and prototyping.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and analysis software relevant to biomedical applications.
- Experience with regulatory submission processes and documentation.
