We are seeking an experienced Aquarium Operations Supervisor to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for animal welfare and public safety
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in all aquarium functions
- Collaborate with the education team to create engaging programs and presentations that promote conservation and awareness
- Monitor and maintain aquarium systems, including filtration, water chemistry, and habitat conditions to support the health of marine life
- Conduct regular staff training sessions to ensure adherence to best practices in aquatic care and safety protocols
- Act as the primary point of contact for any operational issues, resolving them efficiently and effectively
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in aquarium operations or marine biology, including supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of aquatic ecosystems, animal husbandry, and water quality management
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational procedures and training programs
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Aquatic Science, or a related field
- Experience working in a public aquarium or similar environment
- Certification in animal care or aquarium management is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in aquarium management systems and water quality testing equipment
- Experience with aquatic animal health assessments and treatment protocols
