Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced After School Program Director to lead our innovative after-school initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of engaging programs that support the academic and social growth of students. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a positive and inclusive environment for both staff and students.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive after-school program that aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff while fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and parents to enhance program visibility and participation.
- Monitor program effectiveness through regular assessments, feedback collection, and data analysis to ensure continuous improvement.
- Manage program budgets, funding applications, and grant reporting to ensure financial sustainability.
- Promote a safe and nurturing environment for students, addressing behavioral issues proactively and effectively.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in program management, preferably in an educational or after-school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and educational best practices.
- Proven experience in staff supervision and team leadership.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Education, Child Development, or related field.
- Experience in grant writing and fundraising for educational programs.
- Familiarity with community resources and support services available to students and families.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using educational software and tools for program management.
- Experience with data analysis tools for assessing program impact.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications.
