Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and experienced After School Program Director to lead our innovative after school initiatives that empower youth through engaging and educational programming. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs that foster a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for students. You will collaborate with educators, community partners, and families to enhance the overall educational and social experience of participants.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee comprehensive after school program curricula that aligns with educational goals and community needs
- Lead the recruitment, training, and management of program staff, ensuring high-quality delivery of programming
- Establish partnerships with local organizations to enhance program offerings and community engagement
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, utilizing data to inform improvements and ensure positive outcomes for students
- Manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with funding requirements
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including parents, school administrators, and community partners, to promote program visibility and participation
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in youth programming, education, or related fields
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
- Strong understanding of child development principles and the ability to create age-appropriate programming
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for building relationships
Preferred:
- Experience with grant writing and fundraising for youth programs
- Familiarity with remote program management tools and online learning platforms
- Master's degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in virtual collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace
- Experience with data tracking and evaluation tools for program assessment
- Comfortable using social media and other digital marketing strategies to promote programs
