Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Admitting Supervisor to oversee the admissions process and ensure a seamless and efficient experience for our patients. This role is pivotal in managing the admitting team, optimizing workflows, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the admissions team, providing coaching and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Optimize the patient admission workflow, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor and evaluate admission processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
- Conduct regular training sessions for admissions staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of patient care protocols.
- Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns related to the admissions process.
- Prepare and analyze reports on admissions metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare admissions or registration department.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and patient admission procedures.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management software.
- Experience with data analysis tools to track and report on admissions metrics.
