Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Admitting Manager to lead our admissions team in delivering exceptional service to our patients. This fully remote role is critical in ensuring a seamless intake process and optimizing the patient experience from the very first interaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the admissions department, ensuring efficient and accurate patient intake processes
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the admissions process
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure alignment on patient needs and admission processes
- Analyze admission data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives
- Resolve complex patient admission issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare admissions or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and admissions software
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Familiarity with patient management systems and billing processes
