Zipdev is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Agile Project Manager to join our dynamic technology team. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a passion for delivering high-quality digital solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

As an Agile Project Manager, you will work closely with Software Developers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and Business Stakeholders to deliver multiple technology projects — with a primary focus on our Learning Management System (LMS) initiative. You’ll also engage with external vendors and partners to ensure alignment, timely delivery, and quality outcomes across all project touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery across multiple initiatives using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
  • Drive roadmap discovery, planning, and execution, ensuring project goals are aligned with business objectives.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc.) to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Managers to define and prioritize project requirements, ensuring clear communication between technical and non- technical teams.
  • Oversee ClickUp-based project management processes, maintaining visibility into timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Development teams to manage releases and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to manage integrations deliverables, and overall project quality.
  • Track project performance using appropriate metrics, tools, and techniques; report regularly to stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Identify and proactively resolve issues that may impact project scope, budget, or timelines.
  • Champion a “can-do” culture that encourages ownership, accountability, and innovation across the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in software or technology-driven environments.
  • Proven experience managing Agile software projects (Scrum, Kanban) and exposure to Waterfall or hybrid models.
  • Experience delivering LMS (Learning Management Systems) or enterprise level SaaS projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, roadmap development, and backlog management.
  • Hands-on experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills — able to bridge business and technical teams.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and offshore development teams.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, or equivalent Agile certifications are a plus.

Benefits

  • Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)
  • Vacation: 10 business days a year

Our Story

Why was Zipdev Founded?

Zipdev’s co-founders, Mike Lenny and Daniel Altenburg, first met while living in Lima, Peru, where they earned each other’s trust playing rugby and traveling around Latin America together. Zipdev was born after they had both moved back to San Diego, when Mike asked Daniel for help finding solid software engineers to help develop an app he wanted to build.

At first they struggled to find the right option. Trying to build out a full team software development team in California was costly, and a couple false starts with teams in disparate time zones was discouraging. But soon they realized that they had a resource that they knew well right in their own backyard: Latin America.

So after much searching and relationship building, Mike and Daniel found some very talented software engineers to work with. They then spread the word about their experience with members of the San Diego startup community, some of whom convinced them to start Zipdev and became its first customers in 2015.

Zipdev has since grown into a multidisciplinary team of recruiters, software engineers, designers, QA testers, project managers, product owners, and more spanning multiple cities in the United States and Latin America and all dedicated to providing its clients with dependable technology professionals whether remote or onsite.
