The Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who specializes in Agile Methodologies to join our team and help us ensure the efficiency of all activities related to our Engineering Team. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of each project, from the handoff of designs to implementation, ensuring that project requirements are met, managing project timelines and resources, and serving as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders. The role reports to the VP of Engineering.

This is an international, fully-remote, freelance contractor position, working from home, at a location outside of the United States. We are particularly seeking candidates who are based in Latin America (e.g., Argentina, Brazil).

There is flexibility in your work hours, but we expect that you will generally maximize your overlap with California, eg, until 3 pm Pacific Time Zone.

The work will all be conducted in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all Engineering activities of a project to ensure all milestones are met.
  • Be an Agile Ambassador within Zicasso, owning and facilitating Agile processes (with a focus on Kanban) and key ceremonies such as stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, while being comfortable working within custom or hybrid Agile frameworks as needed.
  • Act as the bridge between Product and Engineering, fostering continuous communication and proactive alignment to ensure clarity on goals, priorities, and scope changes. Work with both teams to identify dependencies, resolve blockers, and maintain steady progress across all project phases.
  • Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope, and coordinating cross-functional, cross-departmental, and occasionally cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success. This includes assessing technical, financial, and operational risks.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams as they conduct thorough testing and reviews to ensure that the final deliverables meet high-quality standards
  • Exemplify strong initiative and management skills and take projects from original concept through final implementation by collaborating with all areas affected by the project.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and documentation of decisions, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Actively seek out feedback from teammates and managers and work to use the feedback that they receive as a tool for growth.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in the face of evolving project requirements, priorities, and unexpected challenges.
  • Facilitate teams through tough conversations and maintain a positive and supportive team environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related fields
  • 6+ years of experience in Project Management with a proven record of working with technical teams to define, analyze, and work through requirements definition, technical design, implementation, builds, and deployment.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other relevant Agile certifications are required
  • Experience driving efficiency and innovation through the use of AI tools and methodologies — applying them to enhance project delivery, team collaboration, and continuous improvement across Product and Engineering initiatives.
  • Proven in-depth experience working with Agile tools, such as Atlassian Suite (Jira)
  • Passionate about travel, preferably with experience traveling abroad and a strong curiosity about new international destinations.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to prioritize and work effectively in a remote setting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to clearly communicate design decisions to stakeholders and explain the reasoning behind them

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Active Campaign, or other related platforms (considered a plus)
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing 3rd party integrations
  • Business Analyst experience is considered a plus

What We Offer:

  • Remote work from your home base and flexible hours that allow you to enjoy a great work-life balance.
  • Innovative, fast-paced, and collaborative culture that values diverse voices and opinions.
  • Learning and development annual budget.
  • Two company-sponsored business trips each year at international destinations we serve!

View company profile

Zicasso was founded by Brian Tan and Yuchun Ku to address a common challenge faced by busy professionals who love to travel: the difficulty of planning complex international trips. As executives in Silicon Valley, they aimed to explore new global destinations annually but lacked the extensive time required for in-depth research and planning. Traditional travel agencies often provided generalized advice, falling short of the expert, destination-specific knowledge Brian and Yuchun sought. Their own experiences revealed a gap in the market – a need for a service that could connect discerning travelers with highly knowledgeable, boutique travel specialists who could craft exceptional, personalized vacations. These specialists, often part of small, dedicated teams, possessed the insider access and deep understanding necessary to transform a good trip into an unforgettable one.

This realization led to the creation of Zicasso, a platform designed to meticulously match travelers with the top 10% of travel specialists worldwide. Our customers are individuals and families seeking unique, life-enriching travel experiences, from intricate multi-country itineraries to exclusive access to cultural and natural wonders. They value authenticity, quality, and seamless execution, which is precisely what our network of pre-qualified partners delivers. Each travel specialist in the Zicasso network undergoes a rigorous vetting process, including personal interviews and a demonstrated track record of exceptional destination knowledge and local contacts. They are committed to designing customized itineraries that go beyond standard tourist offerings, incorporating unique activities and insider experiences tailored to each traveler's specific interests and desires. This customer-centric approach ensures that every journey planned through Zicasso is not just a vacation, but a collection of cherished memories, whether it's an African safari, a culinary exploration of Italy, or a cultural immersion in Japan. We empower travelers to discover the world in profound and personal ways, with the confidence that every detail is expertly handled.
