We started Zencastr back in 2015 with a simple idea: make podcast recording accessible to everyone. We're a fully distributed team of podcasters and engineers who understand firsthand how frustrating it can be to juggle multiple tools just to get a decent recording. Our platform handles the technical heavy lifting - 4K video, 48kHz WAV audio, AI-powered editing - so creators can focus on what actually matters: connecting with their audience.

Today, we power about 6% of all podcasts and facilitate hundreds of thousands of hours of content every month. We've grown from a one-person project to a platform that serves everyone from beginners starting their first show to professionals like Seth Godin and Sam Harris. We're not just building tools; we're trying to remove all the barriers between creators and their communities, whether that's through our recording platform, AI editing features, or distribution tools that get your content everywhere it needs to be.
