What’s the role?

The Head of VCS provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Vision Care Solutions division. This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring compliance, and delivering business growth through advanced technology solutions. The Senior Director partners with global VCS leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to align U.S. initiatives with global strategy.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute U.S. VCS strategy in alignment with global objectives.

  • Identify market trends and opportunities to expand VCS offerings.

  • Represent VCS in executive forums and contribute to long-term business planning.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, FDA, and Data Privacy regulations for all VCS products and services.

  • Oversee quality assurance processes and risk management protocols.

Integration & Partnerships

  • Lead integration efforts with PMS/EMR providers and other technology partners.

  • Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver seamless solutions.

Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing VCS team.

  • Implement training and certification programs for technical sales and support staff.

  • Ensure VCS team is kept fully trained and when necessary certified to sell, install and correctly service complete portfolio, in cooperation with sales and technical service management

Business Growth

  • Drive strategic account acquisition and retention.

  • Support sales teams with executive-level presentations and solution positioning.

  • Monitor KPIs and financial performance to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met.

  • Organize all approved Trade Show activities to ensure maximum impact and return on investment.

  • Follows safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelors

  • 10+ years of experience in technology solutions leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Optical and Medical Device sales.

  • Knowledge of VCS/ MED RDx devices and the eye care industry.

  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.

  • Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) and first-class presentation skills.

  • Experience in optical or vision care industry.

  • Familiarity with global operations and multi-market strategies.

  • Ability to lead digital transformation initiatives.

  • Commercially astute, customer focused and “can-do” attitude

  • Ability to build strong external relationships to enhance and strengthen the VCS reputation

  • Strong leadership skills and experience
