You are a healthcare technology product leader. You’ve spent years building or shaping solutions that operate inside real-world provider workflows—understanding how clinicians, front-desk staff, billing teams, and administrators actually get work done.
You’ve worked in or alongside EHR, practice management, patient engagement, or healthcare IT platforms in a product leadership capacity. You’ve translated messy operational realities into clear product requirements—and shipped solutions that integrate into existing systems and deliver measurable value.
You understand how independent physician practices, specialty clinics, multi-location provider groups and large healthcare orgs operate. You know where EHRs and practice management systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, AdvancedMD, and others fit—and where they create friction.
You have a strong point of view on how AI is transforming healthcare—not as hype, but as applied workflow automation, intelligent assistance, and operational leverage. You are comfortable going deep into integration architecture, compliance constraints, and AI-driven workflow design.
You are commercially aware but product-led. You think in terms of platform scalability, extensibility, and long-term differentiation—not one-off features. You’re energized by building a vertical strategy within a product organization and shaping something that can become a category leader.
Experience in Unified Communications (UCaaS) or Contact Center (CCaaS) is a strong plus.
About Intermedia
Intermedia is redefining customer experience for SMBs and mid-market organizations through AI-powered cloud communications and CX solutions delivered via our trusted partner ecosystem.
We are building a new model for how work gets done in vertical industries—combining AI Assistants that enhance human productivity with AI Agents that automate workflows across voice, chat, messaging, and back-office processes.
In healthcare, this means more than modern phone systems. It means AI-powered patient engagement, intelligent routing, automated appointment follow-ups, workflow orchestration across EHR and practice systems, and real-time assistance that increases staff throughput while preserving the human connection that care depends on.
Our focus is on small to mid-size healthcare orgs, including independent physician practices, specialty clinics, and multi-location provider groups that need enterprise-grade capabilities without enterprise complexity. We are already winning in healthcare—but we are investing to go deeper by tailoring our AI-powered communications platform to the specific workflows, compliance requirements, and operational challenges of the SMB healthcare market.
This is an opportunity to shape how AI transforms healthcare communications in a segment that is underserved and ready for meaningful innovation.
About The Role
We are seeking a Director of Product – Healthcare Solutions to lead the healthcare vertical within the Product organization. Reporting to the SVP of Product Management, this role is responsible for defining and driving the healthcare product strategy, roadmap priorities, and vertical platform capabilities.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role. You will define where and how Intermedia wins in healthcare, translate vertical needs into scalable product capabilities, and work cross-functionally to bring those capabilities to market.
You will operate as the healthcare product leader—deeply embedded in product strategy, architecture direction, and execution—while influencing GTM alignment across sales, marketing, and partner channels.
What You Will Be Doing
Market & Vertical Strategy
- Define Intermedia’s healthcare product strategy with a deep understanding of provider workflows, EHR/practice management ecosystems, compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST), and operational constraints.
- Clearly articulate where Intermedia fits in the healthcare technology stack—and where we create differentiated value.
- Identify high-impact AI use cases across patient engagement, care coordination, scheduling, intake, follow-ups, and administrative workflows.
- Develop a scalable approach to verticalization that strengthens our platform without fragmenting it.
Product Leadership
- Own the healthcare-related product roadmap in partnership with Product Management and R&D, prioritizing initiatives that accelerate growth and deepen vertical differentiation.
- Define healthcare-specific platform capabilities, including AI Assists, AI Agents, workflow automation layers, and integration frameworks.
- Drive integrations with EHR, practice management, CRM, and telehealth systems relevant to the SMB provider space.
- Ensure solutions address real-world challenges in patient engagement, care coordination, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Partner closely with Engineering, UX, and Architecture to ensure solutions are elegant, compliant, scalable, and extensible.
- Translate customer and market insights into structured product requirements and measurable outcomes.
Cross-Functional Alignment & GTM Enablement
- Partner with Product Marketing to develop clear healthcare positioning and messaging grounded in product truth.
- Support the development of healthcare-specific sales enablement materials, playbooks, and competitive insights.
- Align with Sales and Channel teams to ensure product strategy supports scalable growth in the target provider segment.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant healthcare technology partners and ecosystem players.
What You Will Bring to the Role
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare technology product leadership, ideally spanning EHR, practice management, patient engagement, or healthcare communications workflows.
- Deep understanding of independent physician practices, specialty clinics, and multi-location provider groups.
- Proven ability to translate complex healthcare workflows into shipped product capabilities and integrations.
- Strong grasp of AI-driven trends in healthcare, particularly around patient engagement, intelligent assistance, and operational automation.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders around a vertical product strategy.
- Ability to engage executive stakeholders, technical buyers, clinicians, and operational leaders with credibility and clarity.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience bringing healthcare-specific solutions to market within a SaaS, UCaaS, or CCaaS organization.
- Experience integrating with leading SMB-focused EHR or practice management platforms.
- Familiarity with enterprise health systems is a plus, but primary experience serving independent and mid-sized provider organizations is preferred.
