Position: Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Advisor Reports to: Lead, Financial Strategist Position Term: Full Time Permanent Primary Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Workplace Type: Hybrid
Job Purpose World Vision Canada is seeking a Senior FP&A Business Advisor to support key portfolios of digital marketing and product. You will serve as a strategic finance lead to Vice Presidents and their teams, combining hands-on financial analysis with strategic insight to ensure resources are invested for long-term mission impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead FP&A partnership with VPs and teams, overseeing dynamic forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial guardrails; facilitate investment decisions and performance dialogues to optimize resource allocation, impact, and value.
- Ensure business owners are equipped with timely, relevant data-driven insights and recommendations to make well-informed operational and strategic decisions.
- Define, assess and advise on financial ROI and broader impacts (e.g., brand lift, lead quality, audience growth) for digital-first campaigns, channels, and products; synthesize into operational and strategic insights.
- Own and continuously improve specific team processes, forecasting and planning tools to ensure timely, accurate, and useful outputs.
- Conduct strategic deep dives and develop modelling of key areas, e.g. digital marketing performance and product economics; identify and recommend cost and performance opportunities in collaboration with supported areas.
- Model best-in-class business partnering and leading-edge FP&A skill sets in analytics, automation and gen-AI adoption, and mentor peers as part of a collaborative FP&A team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive FP&A, consulting or strategic finance experience.
- Ability to stitch data from multiple systems (finance, procurement, CRM, digital marketing, product analytics) into decision-ready outputs.
- Experience in digital marketing, digital product development and lifecycle, and agile.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to go end-to-end: from assembling imperfect data to executive-level recommendations.
- Demonstrated abilities to develop complex financial models; experience with BI/reporting tools, querying databases and data architecture.
- Fluency with using LLMs in the workplace to accelerate low level and strategic tasks; interest in more advanced AI workflows, agents, etc.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; experience collaborating with executives and decision makers.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or quantitative background an asset.
