Workiva is seeking a Director of People Business Partners to oversee the development and execution of the talent strategy for the Tech Team (Engineering, Product, Solutions, and Growth) in close collaboration with Tech senior leadership team and alignment with global People & Culture priorities. This key role will be focused on driving culture, engagement, and retention through talent management solutions that enable the company’s growth. The Director of People Business Partners will oversee a team of People Business Partners who work closely with tech leaders across North America and Europe, focused on developing and delivering strategic integrated talent management solutions to meet business needs and company objectives.
What You’ll Do
Guide the development and execution of the talent strategy for the Tech Team in close collaboration and alignment with the senior Tech leadership and global People & Culture Center of Excellence (COE) partners
Partner with Chief Technology Officer & Tech senior leadership to proactively identify and address organizational needs, assess talent landscape, and leadership development to accelerate the achievement of business objectives and drive engagement
Direct the design and contribute to the implementation of best-in-class integrated talent solutions that drive positive business outcomes and elevate the employee experience across the region
Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team of People Business Partners to develop effective, scalable, and timely talent management solutions across the Tech function
Contribute to the design and implementation of a dynamic and strategic framework for matters including but not limited to employee relations, change management, performance development, employee engagement, coaching, retention, compensation, and talent management
Coach senior stakeholders on high-impact talent matters
Ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles are woven into all People & Culture programs and solutions
Actively promote Workiva’s values and principles as a foundation of company culture and behavioral expectations for every employee
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
Advanced HR certification is strongly preferred
Experience
10+ years of progressive responsibility in human resources disciplines including employee relations, change management, compensation, diversity, organizational development, and performance development
4+ years of experience previously managing a People Business Partner organization
Previous experience as an HR leader/business partner supporting tech, R&D, or product organization required
Previous experience in a global tech, high-growth company required
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of HR practices, laws, and regulations
Ability to build trust and credibility with key business partners and all levels of employees across the company, including executive management
Strong ability to coach, provide guidance, and influence
Able to create strategic initiatives and turn them into operational plans
Drives collaboration across all levels with the ability to bring together stakeholders that can create solutions
Travel
Up to 25% travel
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
