Reporting to the Technical Director of Studies within Minerals & Metals you will join an Australia wide team that is based in Brisbane. You will work collaboratively across a diverse range of engineering packages from conceptual studies through to EPCM delivery for local & international developments.
As part of the Studies team, you will be integral to the development and exploration of the global economies advanced Minerals and Metals projects, delivering technical guidance on conceptual studies through to feasibility assessment.
You will thrive on the challenge of partnering with our clientele, leading engineering study execution (concept to PFS/DFS), be responsible for developing and driving compliance and execution of Woods study management process, while collaborating with engineering and project delivery on key deliverables and proposal requirements.

Expected:
You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) enabling you to work lawfully in Australia. If you have an independent visa application in progress, you are also encouraged to apply.
With relevant qualifications in either Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical engineering, you will also have:
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- Proven experience managing engineering studies for both Greenfields and Brownfields mining projects, with an understanding of full life cycle mining operations
- Proven leadership managing multiple discipline teams within a matrix structured EPCM environment
- In-depth technical knowledge of process plant design, construction, commissioning and operation and associated infrastructure
- Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills with proven experience developing proposals, budgets and schedules for new studies
- Ability to manage risk consistent with technical and commercial requirements
Desirable:
Ideally you will have proven experience working as a Study Manager with 15+ years industry experience in mining and mineral processing on major projects. Alternatively, you may have established a successful career with exposure to full life cycle project management / study management in the mining industry, across copper / gold / nickel / lithium commodities, and you are ready to build your career in studies.
What will set you apart will be your previous experience working in a similar client facing Study Manager role working within the Australian Minerals & Metals industry.
