At Wider Circle, our core belief is that everyone deserves to be healthy. This conviction drives our mission to address the last mile of healthcare by fostering neighborhood groups. These groups empower members to motivate and support one another in accessing the care they need, precisely when and where they need it. Our approach is rooted in peer-to-peer engagement built on a foundation of trust. Through this, Wider Circle aims to restore the vital community support networks that are essential for managing better health, improving social determinants of health, and ultimately providing a superior member experience while reducing healthcare costs. We are committed to creating a high-performance and collaborative culture, attracting and retaining high-caliber talent to achieve our goals.
Our journey began in 2015 when co-founders Moshe Pinto and Darin Buxbaum were inspired by the healthcare challenges faced by their own families. They knew there had to be a more effective way. Extensive research and rigorous testing led our team to understand that integrating support and services at the community level is the most impactful approach to enabling better health and independence. This model makes it easier for neighbors to care for one another. Today, Wider Circle proudly offers its unique neighborhood care programs to over 320 communities in five different languages, including specialized initiatives for vulnerable populations, particularly those in isolation, through virtual programming and peer-to-peer community support. Our Member Ambassadors are central to this peer-based community care system, volunteering their time to assist their neighbors and share life experiences. We partner with health plans and physician groups across the nation to deliver engaging and educational programs, both in-person and virtually, tailored to members who share similar interests and life experiences. This focus on trusted relationships and a robust technology platform allows us to connect health plan members with familiar neighbors, empowering them to be more proactive about their health.
