As a back end developer you will work as part of an Agile development team to deliver capabilities for our Over the Road product suite. You will be joining a team of developers, testers, and product stakeholders who have a passion for creating elegant and robust solutions for our customers. You will leverage the latest technology to improve the quality, stability and performance of our apps.

Accountable, by being
- Responsible for designing, developing, and testing solutions for projects of moderate to significant complexity.
- Responsible for building and executing against a detailed development schedule.
- Responsible for producing project related artifacts governed by corporate SDLC and ensuring development efforts conform to standards.
- Collaborates with the team to identify improvements and upgrades that will reduce cost, improve stability, and increase performance.
- Responsible for engaging with production support staff and remediation of chronic and/or critical production support issues.
Technically, you
- write code like a beast
- pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks with a minimum of fuss
- are comfortable working on front-end web code, back end services, data stores, and infrastructure systems
- are a solid architect/designer
- have experience writing modern software deployed in the cloud
- are comfortable with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and front-end frameworks
- have worked on agile teams to deliver software iteratively
At a minimum, you
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
- 5 years+ experience developing in C/C++/C#
- 5 years+ hands-on experience with Perl, Python, Informix, Postgres
- 2 years+ hands-on experience with REST API development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
It would be nice if you
- have FinTech experience
- have experience with JBoss
- have experience with cloud technologies
- have experience with CI/CD systems
- have experience working on an Agile team with a tracking tool such as JIRA a plus
