We’re looking for a M&A Associate to join our team at Westfalia Fruit

PLEASE NOTE: Although this position can be remote, you must be within commuting distance from one of our offices in Europe or South Africa

This is a brand new position where you'll have the exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our future growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, gaining invaluable experience whilst providing support across the entire M&A lifecycle.

You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including financial analysis, due diligence, deal documentation, and virtual data room management.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with managing M&A transactions from start to finish.
• Build financial models and analyse financial data to support deal valuation.
• Contribute to the due diligence process, including managing the VDR and communication with stakeholders.
• Create commercial terms and draft key transaction documents.
• Prepare presentations and maintain transaction timelines for management approval.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices relevant to M&A.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a financial services or corporate environment, with exposure to M&A transactions.
• Experience with investment committee processes.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with financial data analysis and research.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English.
