We’re looking for a M&A Associate to join our team at Westfalia Fruit
PLEASE NOTE: Although this position can be remote, you must be within commuting distance from one of our offices in Europe or South Africa
This is a brand new position where you'll have the exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our future growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, gaining invaluable experience whilst providing support across the entire M&A lifecycle.
You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including financial analysis, due diligence, deal documentation, and virtual data room management.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with managing M&A transactions from start to finish.
- Build financial models and analyse financial data to support deal valuation.
- Contribute to the due diligence process, including managing the VDR and communication with stakeholders.
- Create commercial terms and draft key transaction documents.
- Prepare presentations and maintain transaction timelines for management approval.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices relevant to M&A.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a financial services or corporate environment, with exposure to M&A transactions.
- Experience with investment committee processes.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Experience with financial data analysis and research.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English.
