Senior Backend Developer

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 4+ years of backend development experience, particularly within product-focused tech startups
• Proficient in Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with caching, workers, and queues (Celery, Redis)
• Experience working with AWS (ECS/Fargate, EC2, RDS, SQS), Docker; familiarity with Kafka is a plus
• Solid system design and architecture capabilities
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
• Experience deploying scalable, secure backend services in cloud-native ecosystems
• Strong product thinking: Ability to translate specs into clean, maintainable systems from scratch

Bonus Points:

• Experience with AI agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen
• Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and optimization of vector databases
• Prior experience building chat-based or real-time systems with high throughput
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to or scale products from zero-to-one
