We are seeking a talented Comics Letterer/Typesetter to work on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in lettering comics, with a preference for those familiar with WEBTOON or vertical scroll comics formats. This freelance role involves working on various in-house projects, including WEBTOON series, and requires exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lettering dialogue, sound effects, and other text elements in comics using digital tools.
- Typesetting text to enhance readability and visual flow within the comic panels.
- Collaborating closely with artists and producers to ensure the text complements the artwork and storytelling.
- Making revisions based on feedback from producers in a timely manner.
Requirements
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work. Applications without portfolios or samples attached won’t be considered.
- Familiarity with WEBTOON or vertical scroll comics formats is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in digital lettering and typesetting tools/software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a creative team.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for typography and design.
