In the early 2000s, entrepreneur Thomas Flohr, a frequent user of private aviation for his asset finance business, found the industry to be inefficient, opaque, and lacking a trusted global brand. The process of chartering a jet was cumbersome, and the quality of service was inconsistent. This vision sparked the creation of VistaJet in 2004, founded on a revolutionary asset-light model. In 2018, Flohr launched Vista Global Holding in Dubai, creating a parent company to house a growing portfolio of private aviation solutions. The group embarked on a series of strategic acquisitions, integrating leading companies like XOJET, the on-demand charter marketplace JetSmarter, and aircraft operator Jet Edge. These moves were not merely about expanding the fleet but about building a comprehensive ecosystem. By combining VistaJet's premium subscription service with XO's technology-driven, on-demand platform, Vista Global created a portfolio that could cater to every need in business aviation. Today, Vista Global stands as the world's first and only truly global private aviation company, operating a fleet of over 300 aircraft and serving clients across 96% of the globe.
