Job Summary:

The QA/QC Software Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing and quality control processes. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining test plans and test cases, as well as identifying, reporting, and tracking defects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Design:
    • Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
    • Define test strategies and create detailed test documentation for new and existing software features.
  • Test Execution:
    • Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
    • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Defect Management:
    • Identify, log, and track software defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
    • Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct code reviews and collaborate with the development team to improve software quality.
    • Implement and monitor quality metrics to assess software performance and reliability.
  • Automation:
    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
    • Continuously improve and expand the test automation suite.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with project requirements.
    • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Documentation:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all testing activities, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.
    • Provide clear and concise feedback to stakeholders regarding software quality and readiness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG), frameworks (e.g., React) and languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Golang).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
