Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Senior Manager, Global OSD Technical Transfer will make an impact:
Lead Global Oral Solid Dose (OSD) technical transfer strategy development, technical analysis of opportunities, and execution of activities to ensure the successful transfer of key products across sites.
Perform job functions in accordance with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), federal and state laws, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, health authority regulations, and departmental processes.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Assist the global leadership team in managing strategic direction, performance objectives / targets, and execution of operations through selection and execution of product transfers. Ensure that the transfer portfolio supports ongoing product supply as well as the long-term goals and objectives of the enterprise.
Support the technical transfer project portfolio for Global OSD Operations and key strategic projects across the manufacturing network: Spearhead projects across the manufacturing network to lower COGS, improve profitability, increase responsiveness & flexibility while ensuring excellent levels of compliance and service.
Collaborate across multiple functional areas including Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Technical Services, etc. to respond quickly to provide solutions to operational issues, develop regulatory and operational strategy, and monitor project interactions with ongoing site, product, or regional activities.
Provide technical expertise and advice for critical product and transfer-related issues that may arise across the network. Be prepared to assemble, lead, or serve in technical issue resolution focused projects if they arise.
Create flexibility across the manufacturing network; explore and exhaust opportunities to shift products around the network to reduce complexity in plants and the network. Periodically re-assess and analyze strategies to re-balance the manufacturing network capacity loads & site strategies. Ensure risk mitigation by identifying, planning, and executing strategies for supply chain robustness.
Create and deliver executive-ready presentations on key projects, issues, and/or opportunities to distill complex ideas to key decision points.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or Operations Management required. Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or Operations Management preferred. Minimum of five years of experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry required. Experience with project management, strategic manufacturing in complex technical environments strongly preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Must possess a strong technical foundation in product development, analytical development, technical services, fundamental sciences and/or global pharmaceutical regulations. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of data gathering and analyzing principles including predictive analytics, mapping, and data collection from multiple systems, as well as advanced working knowledge of analytical tools, techniques and resources.
Must possess exceptional critical thinking, communication, persuading and influencing, problem solving and decision-making skills, project management skills and the ability to “fix” and “build” operations/programs/processes. Must be able to foster creative approaches to problem solving in a way that maintains focus on the delivery of a quality product that meets business need. Must be able to proactively plan for managing and mitigating project risks. Must have effective time management and logical decision-making ability. Must have capacity to handle pressure, tight deadlines and rapidly changing priorities, while always maintaining a very strong focus on quality. Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $193,000.00 USD.
