The Opportunity
Lonestar Forklift is looking for a Truck Driver/Industrial Machinery Mover to join our team in Odessa, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for completing local deliveries to Leavitt’s service, sales, and rental customers
As the Rigger for Lonestar, your key responsibilities will include:
- Receive inbound requests from the freight coordinator.
- Handle documentation relating to equipment transport.
- Load/unload equipment onto the transport truck/trailer.
- Transport equipment to/from various destinations.
- Communicate with the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator regarding maintenance
- Signal or verbally direct workers involved in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety for both workers and materials.
- Rig loads using hand and power tools; test rigging for safety and reliability.
- Attach loads to rigging for support or movement.
- Control heavy equipment movement in narrow spaces using chain falls, gin poles, and other equipment.
- Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts and passenger vehicles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- High school diploma
- Class 1 license with a minimum of five years of driving experience and CDL license.
- Clean driver’s abstract and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Operating heavy machinery and experience in material handling equipment are strong assets.
- A minimum of two (2) years of proven industrial machinery mover experience or comparable field experience, preferably within the oil and gas, manufacturing, or construction service industries.
- Mechanically inclined and enjoys working with machines.
