About the Role
Uber Freight is looking for an Integration Engineer III to join our team to be responsible for developing and maintaining the world class Transportation Management Systems (TMS). The Uber Freight TMS is a large-scale, multilingual and multi-currency SaaS system trusted by many major brands in the US and abroad. For the right person, this is a great opportunity to learn from amazingly talented team members on what works and what doesn’t at high scale and at the same time contribute to over a million lines of code base in multiple applications.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Collaborate with the team members and associated IT functions to translate business requirements into the design and implementation of features and functionality required to deliver the required results
- Perform unit and integration testing in a deployment environment to verify the delivered implementation meets the given requirements
- Adhere to safe coding practices from security, dependency and risk mitigation perspectives
- Work with version control complexities including multiple concurrent branches, and merges
- Provide testing support to QA during functional, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Create high quality technical documentation and result oriented POCs and discuss openly the ideas with others
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power PI
- Languages: Java, J2EE, HTML, Javascript, AngularKnowledge and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Power PI
- Database: Oracle, SQL, JDBC
- Environment: Eclipse/IntelliJ, Weblogic or Tomcat Technologies/Frameworks
- Tools: Git, Maven, Ant
- Other: Spring Framework, Spring Data/Hibernate/JPA, Spring Boot, REST, Micro Services, Junit, Docker, Redis, ElasticSearch, JMS/Kafka/RabitMQ
