The team you can join works closely with business – our intraday traders – and takes the leading role in supplying custom developed solutions. It is working in sprints within a solid SCRUM framework.

Within Vattenfall, Business Area Markets optimizes assets and effectively sources and trades commodities, thus ensuring best value for both Vattenfall and our customers. BA Markets is active across Europe with around 450 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. 

In BA Markets the mission of the Unit OU Operations is to drive the digital transformation. OU Operations consists of diverse and highly skilled employees from more than 20 countries. We work internationally from our locations in Stockholm, Hamburg and Amsterdam. 

The OU Operations is bundling and further building up its activities in different areas. The Intraday solutions Team works closely with our Intraday traders and other teams to facilitate the best possible trading experience! 

What will you do?

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Developing new functionalities in our Intraday Landscape applications.
• Keeping a strong focus on testing (e.g. unit tests) to enable high available and flawless 24/7 operations. 
• Taking responsibility of the full application life cycle including maintenance.
• Bug fixing and operational support for the Intraday traders as well as identifying common patterns advising the product owner on product improvements.
• Maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. 
• Learning our business and identify requirements together with business partners.

Katowice/Gliwice or remotely in Poland

Qualifications

Who are you?

As our Fullstack .Net Developer you will bring:

• Strong experience in .NET (C#).
• Good experience with front end development in Angular.
• Skills in deploying and hosting of services in Kubernetes/Azure cloud.
• Use of asynchronous event-based communication (Event Hub/Kafka).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Ability to create and manage DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud native development - assets.
• Excellent communication skills and being a team player.
• Ability to work in a remote setup.
• Strong analytics skills.
• Proficient knowledge of English.
• Communicative knowledge in Polish.

Next to this you bring:

• Experience in agile software development method (Scrum) knowledge of ITIL processes is a plus. 
• Ideally basic knowledge in energy trading and/or willingness to acquire it is a plus.
