We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to primarily support the Project Finance initiatives. This position will be responsible for compiling and examining financial data and providing financial analysis support. The Financial Analyst Intern will be part of the Project Finance group and will focus on reporting requirements, data absorption, and data analysis.
This is a paid internship that will start on or around June 3, 2024, with an end date of August 9, 2024.
During the 10-week program, interns will participate in virtual, company-wide and department meetings, virtual bi-weekly Friday lunch & learn trainings and a culminating group presentation on your overall internship experience. The program is structured to provide exposure to careers in renewable energy, best practices in internal communications as part of a remote/ hybrid team and best of all, the opportunity to work and support a team of professionals who are experts in their field.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to consolidate financial model inputs and outputs into a database and develop a process for updating the database.
- Support the migration of budgets and other financial data into new software platforms.
- Conduct quantitative feasibility analysis on new markets, participants, projects, and trends.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and modeling requests.
- Produce monthly/quarterly reporting for existing investment portfolios.
- Support due diligence activities as needed for financing activities and/or M&A transactions.
Location
This position will be primarily remote with periodic meetups with our team. Preferably within the Eastern time zone.
Candidate to work full-time hours Monday - Friday during the summer duration of the internship.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, must be a sophomore or above.
- Interest in renewable energy
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Excellent financial analysis and knowledge of excel
- Strong work ethic and exceptionally high work standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Be capable of analyzing very large amounts of financial and numerical data and extracting, summarizing, and communicating key results
- Work pro-actively individually, and collaboratively within the team
- Self-motivated and work with minimal direction
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with a shared interest in saving the world!
