We’re growing intentionally — and we’re looking for an Accounting Team Lead who can guide, organize, and elevate a large accounting team while ensuring excellent execution.
We're not just growing. We're building intentionally. To do that, we need an Accounting Manager who can bring clarity to the numbers.
What you’ll be doing
✅ Manage full-cycle accounting process for clients
✅ Manage accounting team to ensure accurate work done efficiently
✅ Communicate with and support clients to benefit from the financial data we provide
What you bring
⭐ 5+ years as an Accounting Manager or related role
⭐ Proficiency with QBO and/or Xero is required (Netsuite is a bonus)
⭐ Strong focus on processes is an asset
⭐ FP&A and modelling skills is a bonus
Your Journey at UpCounting
Your First Week: Getting Immersed
You'll meet your Accounting, Client, and Operations teams, explore our async tools, and get familiar with how we communicate, collaborate, and document. You'll begin shadowing live client workflow to understand our standards and pace.
After 1 Month: Owning the work
You’ll be managing real client files, reviewing work prepared by accountants, and communicating with peers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. You’ll be running internal check-ins, reviewing deliverables, and conducting month-end close cycles.
In 3Months: Leading with Clarity
You’ll fully own client relationships and team workflows end-to-end, ensuring high-quality financials, proactive communication, and smart prioritization. You’ll identify process improvements, mentor team members, and become a trusted partner who brings clarity, structure, and confidence to both clients and colleagues.
