- Contribute with the development of products for the dissemination of the Human Development Report for LAC 2025 at the regional level, including presentations and opinion columns for additional dissemination products of the RHDR 2025.
- Contribute to the rollout of the report to country offices post-publication of the RHDR 2025 at the country level, including country specific presentations with recommendations and country briefs.
- Develop briefing notes and information to support RBLAC’s participation in meetings, workshops, missions, conferences, and side events related to the RHDR 2025.
- Develop #Graph for Thought blogs on political economy issues such as migration, democracy and development.
- Upon specific delegation, actively engage in the Bureau in regional meetings, events and other fora to discuss, promote, and advocate the Bureau’s ideas, mission and interests and to influence the discussion and setting of the agenda.
- Facilitate knowledge and capacity building, knowledge sharing and advocacy relevant to the assigned thematic area(s).

- Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Economics, Political Economy, Public Policy, Administration, or related fields, is required. or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience, will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree, with an understanding of development.
- Minimum 2 years (with a master’s degree) or 4 years (with a Bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in development, policy analysis and research is required.
- Experience in designing conceptual notes and evidence-based frameworks is required.
- Solid publication record on development issues is required.
- Proven experience and knowledge of the UN development system's approaches, policies and practices is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in political, social, and economic context of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as of Agenda 2030 and UNDP’s work in the region, is an asset.
- Proven track record of strong technical competencies to analyze data and development trends in the LAC region are desirable.
- Experience in working with governments, donors, non- governmental organizations and development organizations, is desirable.
- Experience in handling web-based management systems, is desirable.
- Experience in drafting, editing, or reviewing papers and reports is an asset.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
