About UnBoundEd

UnboundEd recently joined with two other professional learning organizations, Pivot Learning and CORE Learning. Together as one entity, we are now the largest equity-focused professional learning organization in the nation. We provide evidence-based, comprehensive instructional and curriculum support to educators and school system leaders in over 40 states across the country.

UnboundEd empowers educators to transform teaching and learning. We work with classroom teachers, school leaders, and district executives to ensure engaging, affirming and meaningful grade-level instruction, so that we eliminate the predictability of student outcomes by race and socioeconomic status. We focus on the needs of students of color and those who have historically been at the margins, because when we do that, all students benefit.

About the Organization

The Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education (CORE) provides expert technical assistance and professional development for pre‐K‐12 literacy and mathematics programs. Our evidence‐based model supports the implementation of Common Core State Standards and all other state standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. We work with educators and administrators at all grade levels, district personnel, and state departments of education to build system‐wide capacity for sustained improvement.

Job Description

Are you looking to be a part of the solution for change in K–12 education? Apply to become a CORE Literacy Consultant to help ensure all students receive equitable reading instruction. Our team is committed to addressing gaps in educator understanding and practice, pairing support with high expectations, allowing all students the opportunity to access high-quality instruction.

In this role, we are looking for consultants who will provide professional development and on-site support and coaching to teachers and leaders to support reading and language arts.

We are continuously looking for new elementary, middle/high school, or K-12 CORE Literacy Consultants who are ready to be assigned to client projects as needed. Potential consultants must be available a minimum of 3 days per month. Once added to CORE’s consultant pool, projects will be assigned as opportunities are finalized with our clients. Note that this work will not involve a consistent schedule; typical client engagements involve multiple 2- or 3-day trips to the client site for in-person delivery, and/or multiple online sessions for remote delivery.

As a Literacy Consultant, you’ll embark on a new career path with a flexible schedule, part-time hours and the opportunity to train and mentor teachers in evidence-based instructional practices that will increase student reading achievement. Apply today!

  • Experience, and high degree of comfort, with facilitating using remote synchronous learning platforms such as Zoom.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of programs and publisher materials, including reading intervention programs and reading/ELA assessments, particularly CBM assessments, is preferred.
