At Twinkl Ireland Early Years , we pride ourselves on creating quality content that aligns with the Irish Curriculum . You’ll be helping to build a new team of passionate professionals working flexibly to create content for Twinkl’s Early Years Irish market. This team will focus on play-based pedagogy, to ensure that our resources incorporate engaging and developmentally appropriate activities and support educators in creating environments that stimulate children's natural curiosity and creativity.
We are always looking for opportunities to further support our users and respond to current educational initiatives and, as such, we are now delighted to be focusing on developing resources to support Curriculum aligned resources for Early Years . You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we look to develop early child care resources that can be used by educators across Ireland to support a play based pedagogy.
As a content writer for Ireland , you will be involved in creative ideation, planning, organising and creating resources and other content for the site. A large part of this role will be creating Twinkl resources, writing category descriptions, blogs and more for our Irish customers. You will need to have a strong, current working knowledge of the Early Years sector in particular curriculum and practice guidance, as well as experience of working within an Early Years setting in Ireland . You will use your knowledge to develop resources and your content will be turned into a finished product for Twinkl by our highly skilled design team.
This role does not require you to work from the Twinkl office and meetings can be conducted via GoogleMeet/Hangouts when required. This is a remote, flexible position. Working hours can be agreed between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments but you should have availability for team meetings during office hours.
Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your week:
Ideate, develop and create innovative Early Childhood resources that support adult understanding and provide playful learning experiences for children ages 0-5.
Work, collaborate and communicate with other team members in an agile working team to achieve a shared goal to support educators and children of Ireland.
Requirements
To succeed in the role, you will:
- Produce original content that is accurate, engaging and research-driven, according to a monthly target
- Work as part of a team to identify content opportunities to further grow the segment
In this role, you will learn:
- The production process required for creating new and innovative resources
- How to work as part of a team that is developing a new Early Years product to bring to the market

We're interested in anyone with a combination of the following:
- Extensive knowledge of the Aistear Curriculum, particularly candidates with experience in using a play based approach alongside Irish practice guidance.
- At least three years of experience working in an Early Years setting
- Level 8 BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent
- The ability to create resources that demonstrate a high standard of spelling, punctuation, grammar, curriculum relevance and factual accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Creativity and initiative.
- The ability to operate fluently between a range of different IT platforms
