About the Role

Our client is seeking a freelance composer for a project involving composing music for a 45-minute crime/action film. This is a single job opportunity with the potential for follow-up work in the future. The composer will have approximately one week to complete the project and is not required to work on-site, as all tasks can be performed remotely. The delivery of the project is expected in October. Further specifics, including the preferred musical style and project budget, will be discussed directly with the chosen composer.

Responsibilities:

• Compose original music scores that effectively complement the film's genre, tone, and narrative.
• Collaborate with the project owner to understand the creative vision and musical requirements for the film.
• Create a range of musical pieces, including opening and closing themes, background scores, and any necessary sound effects or audio elements.

Requirements

• Beginner-level experience in composing music, preferably with some exposure to film scoring or similar projects.
• Proficiency in using music production software and virtual instruments.
• Understanding of musical theory, composition techniques, and various genres and styles.
• Ability to interpret and translate creative direction into compelling musical compositions.
