About the Role

Our client, a VFX company specialising in high-end TV commercials is seeking to hire a skilled and experienced freelance 3D Generalist Artist for a long-term, full-time remote contract position. The company is looking for a talented 3D artist who is passionate about creating engaging visual experiences and demonstrating proficiency in various aspects of the 3D production pipeline. The role requires a high level of expertise, specifically in utilizing Maya and Redshift to achieve realistic aesthetics. The company is ready to make a paid hire and is open to receiving offers for this role.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling: Create detailed and accurate 3D models for use in TV commercials, following provided references and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Look Development: Develop realistic and visually appealing materials, shaders, and textures for 3D models to achieve the desired look and feel.
• Lighting and Rendering: Set up lighting environments, adjust render settings, and leverage Redshift to produce photorealistic renders and final imagery.
• Compositing: Integrate rendered 3D elements with live-action footage or other visual elements using compositing techniques and software.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior-level 3D Generalist Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D work for TV commercials or similar projects.
• Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard 3D software, primarily Maya and Redshift, with a deep understanding of their features and capabilities.
• Solid skills in 3D modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, rendering, and compositing techniques.
• Familiarity with various rendering engines, particularly Redshift, and the ability to achieve photorealistic results.
