Our client in the financial services industry is looking for a Remote Tax Accountant to add to their growing team of 35. Since starting in 2016, they have doubled their business every year with 600 clients who are small business owners. They provide strategic accounting and tax services and have added this position to scale up their tax division. Reporting to their Tax Manager and working alongside three other Licensed Tax Accountants, you will have the support of Staff Accountants to complete tax prep while ultimately being responsible for client engagement and tax compliance. [REMOTE] Sr. Tax Accountant (CPA or Enrolled Agent req.) Responsibilities

• Engage with clients for tax planning and advisory services
  • Prepare clients for tax season and optimize their tax returns
  • Schedule check-ins and ensure continuous consultation and planning
  • Ensure team members are fulfilling their responsibilities to meet client needs
  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and tax optimization of clients' returns
  • Evaluate and outline the necessary tasks to complete tax returns
  • Review and approve tax returns prepared by team members
  • Make necessary adjustments to tax returns if required
  • Identify and mitigate potential tax risks
  • Coordinate with accounting staff and evaluate their performance

[REMOTE] Sr. Tax Accountant (CPA or Enrolled Agent req.) Qualifications

• CPA or EA required

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Experienced filing 1120-S, 1040s, and Schedule C required
  • Background signing off and reviewing tax filings required
  • Quarterly domestic travel required for team building events
