Senior Product Designer, Professionals

We are looking for an experienced and proven Senior Product Designer to drive growth and innovation through our Professionals platform. As the Product Designer for our Professional segment, you'll be scaling an existing platform with more than 15k unique professionals who are supporting millions of clients, by understanding the needs of both Financial Advisors, Non-Profits, Attorneys, and their direct-to-consumer clients. You’ll be delivering solutions that drive engagement, create ongoing value, and deliver results as this channel scales.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who will help us revolutionize estate planning for Financial Advisors and other wealth planning professionals. This is a high-impact, high-visibility area of the business that is driving the fastest area of growth for the company. You will be using best-of-breed technologies, such as Gen AI and innovative design thinking, to accomplish solving Professionals’ unmet needs at a scale.

At Trust & Will, Product Designers represent the voice of our customers, and drive the customer experience direction of their product area’s vision and strategy. In this role, you'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data to create intuitive, elegant experiences that address our customers’ most important unmet needs. You’ll own major product areas from end-to-end, driving research, ideation, and design execution to shape outcomes that move our business forward. They are responsible for the success of the product throughout all phases of the development process. This starts with initial discovery research, problem definition, solution design, development, execution, gathering voice of the customer feedback, and measuring success. In partnership with PMs, our Product Designers ensure that we are solving our customers’ most important problems through the capabilities of our products. To be successful in this role you will be required to understand the wealth planning professionals’ ecosystem, as well as the Trust & Will direct-to-consumer products in great detail.

About You:

You have seasoned experience as a product designer who has been a part of scaling teams and businesses from disruptors to innovative industry leaders with best-in-class consumer products. You have experience thriving in a remote-first organization and being a part of world-class teams. About the Role:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for key product initiatives, using cutting-edge tools like generative AI and modern design tools to move from discovery through delivery.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Sales to co-create and iterate on future-state experiences, rapidly validating ideas through prototyping and testing.
• Build strong design rationale by combining competitive analysis, user research, product data, and intuitive judgment to inform high-impact decisions.
• Translate insights and strategy into design outputs—including wireframes, prototypes, and polished visuals—that effectively communicate intent and value.
• Maintain and extend our design system, shaping the evolution of our visual language and interaction models to support scalable, cohesive experiences.
• Participate actively in design critiques, offering thoughtful feedback and mentoring less experienced designers to grow design excellence across the team.
• Contribute to a team culture grounded in collaboration, experimentation, and results, reinforcing the value of design in every part of the business.
• Synthesize inputs from users, internal stakeholders, and market signals to prioritize opportunities that drive measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Engage directly with consumers and wealth professionals to cultivate deep empathy for their goals, workflows, and unmet needs.
• Transform qualitative and quantitative findings into clear, actionable problem statements that guide solution development.
• Champion lean experimentation and rapid iteration, using early behavioral signals to guide product direction and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to balance scope, effort, and opportunity cost, ensuring decisions are grounded in feasibility and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design or related roles.
• A bias toward action and a willingness to iterate quickly in ambiguity.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your process and design thinking across mobile and web platforms.
• Experience shipping high-quality consumer grade products on time, use cases considered, and free of surprises.
• Deep user empathy and a strong grasp of user research methodologies.
• Excellent design and communication skills (both written and verbal). You are able to advocate for users and design decisions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of how software is built and how to iterate to deliver speed of benefit.
• Fluency in tools like Figma and a solid understanding of design systems.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineers in an agile environment.
• A strong cross-functional partner for marketing, sales, and legal teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail; ability to identify corner use cases and potential risks
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively juggle multiple parallel projects independently.
• Experience working in a fintech company and/or high-growth startup.
