A Brief Overview
The Pricing Manager is a high-level Individual Contributor role responsible for building and executing on pricing strategies, tactics, and business models across product lines and customer segments. The Pricing Manager collaborates with Customer Experience, Sales, and other leaders across the organization to build and maintain systems and tools that optimize revenue and profitability, drive ongoing performance, reinforce the pricing strategy, and support overall corporate goals.

What you will do

  • Provide proactive support and guidance to the Sales teams to help drive new sales as well as revenue retention and up-sell opportunities
  • Lead cross functional execution of pricing strategies and drive performance improvement
  • Deliver relevant training to new and existing Sales colleagues on deal desk, order processes and overall quote to cash best practices
  • Review Sales-proposed quotes, provide feedback and coaching, ensure compliance with published sales and business policies, and approve or reject/escalate quotes as needed based on policy and business judgement
  • Initiate analysis and recommend improvements to strategies to achieve corporate goals
  • Collaborate with Pricing Managers, Sales, and other stakeholders on pricing strategies and programs
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of pricing and profitability tools and systems
  • Develop and support complex pricing models to analyze client, product and portfolio profitability using large data sets and assumptions. Creating detailed models and analyses using mathematical and statistical techniques to identify opportunities, evaluate the success of initiatives, and track continuous improvement
  • Utilize competitive intelligence data to build and execute pricing strategies that promote TriNet value as compared to competitors
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information
  • Support automation through business intelligence
  • Lead and maintain SOX compliant processes and documentation

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field required or
  • Master's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 8+ years experience in a similar pricing environment, including price setting, profitability management and financial analysis. required
  • Experience in a public company preferred
  • Experience in insurance or other risk-based industries preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • High level of proficiency in MS Office applications: Advanced in Excel and Access, intermediate in PowerPoint and Word
  • Working knowledge of SFDC, Cognos, Essbase, Tableau, SQL, PeopleSoft
  • Demonstrated understanding of pricing and profitability principles, structures, and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to apply complex financial, statistical, analytical, and critical thinking principles
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong personal leadership and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The salary range for this role is $85,500 to $205,200. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
