Core Duties / Responsibilities:

• Work closely with South Africa GCC stakeholders to ensure material risks and issues that are relevant to services being provided to TransUnion UK are appropriately articulated and documented and seek solutions to appropriately address.
• Perform regular compliance monitoring activities with teams in the South Africa GCC who provide services to TransUnion UK (including testing, documenting and reporting), per requirements set out in service Standard Operating Procedures.
• Act as a key contact to inform/escalate to TransUnion UK any business issues arising in the South Africa GCC which may impact service provision to TransUnion UK.
• Track and support the completion of agreed South Africa GCC remediation actions from issues identified via compliance monitoring oversight work, risk reviews or business issue events.
• Perform reviews of risk themes, regulatory topics, processes, projects, or business activities to identify potential risks and issues relevant to TransUnion UK, at the direction of the UK Risk & Compliance Director.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and complete documentation that records the completion of risk-focused reviews and compliance monitoring checks.
• Support the Director of Risk & Compliance in preparation of high-quality papers, reports, and MI dashboard outputs for risk governance committees and forums.

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:

Essential

• Experience of operating within a compliance, risk, audit, or similar assurance function of a regulated Financial Services firm.
• Experience of conducting compliance monitoring or audit/assurance reviews and reporting on findings.
• Aptitude for learning, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to quickly understanding new and complex information.
• Methodical, thorough and diligent, with strong attention to detail and strong documentation and report writing and presentation skills.
• Effective organisational and time management skills to be able to manage completion of multiple compliance monitoring tasks by set deadlines.
• Confident interpersonal and communications skills (both orally and in writing) to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong ability to present detail and data effectively and appropriately for different audiences/stakeholders.
• Experience of preparing papers for governance committees
• Ability to use standard Microsoft products to a high standard, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of either risk management principles and techniques or compliance-related and risk and control frameworks.

Preferred

• A working knowledge of the UK financial services sector and UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation.
• Knowledge of data management environments to be able to make critical observations and drive continual improvement.
• Good understanding of data protection regulation regimes, such as UK General Data Protection Regulation and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

It is a requirement of the Global Capability Centre Africa that you reside in a home that is fibre ready; and has space for you to be able to work comfortably and confidentially on a day-to-day basis for the purpose of your proposed employment. You can be based anywhere in South Africa and will not be able to work in a location outside of South Africa.

A Minimum of a 100 Meg Fibre line is required, should you be successful, you will need to upgrade your line in order to work effectively.
