System Integrations Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute integration engineering end-to-end, from high-level architecture down to code implementation
• Being able to think on your feet and comfortable talking about technical concepts, and explaining how Tractian works, both from a product feature and API architecture perspective
• Be the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our largest users’ and partners’ technical teams
• Work closely with Tractian Product & Engineering teams to improve and evolve Tractian products

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or 2–4+ years of experience in a technical role (internships, research projects, entry-level technical jobs)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and common data formats (JSON, XML)
• Some exposure to one or more programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, etc.)
• Basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases
• Eagerness to learn event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ask clarifying questions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating in English
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

BONUS POINTS

• Hands-on experience using or integrating with an ERP or CMMS system (SAP, IBM Maximo, TOTVS, etc.)
• Understanding of security fundamentals in API design (authentication, authorization, encryption)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Personal portfolio that showcases your programming skills
