THUNDER | JOB DESCRIPTION

Technical Architect (Salesforce)

Location: United States (Fully Remote - Preferred locations SF Bay Area/NYC)

At Thunder, we're building a different kind of Salesforce shop: we're people who love Salesforce and want our customers to love it as well. As a Thunder Technical Architect, you will build innovative solutions on Salesforce, but also show our customers how they can love this platform like we do.

Here's your chance to showcase your grit and help define how technical architecture can be delivered differently, focused on digging deep to solve customer problems as much as technical problems.

Summary

Thunder’s Technical Architect (TA) leads and collaborates with our customers' technology and business stakeholders to develop a scalable Salesforce architecture, vision, and strategy that enables business outcomes.

You hold responsibility for the technical design of any integration or development, as well as technology selection and development methodology. In this role, you’ll deliver and/or govern the execution of development deliverables.

Ideal TA candidates will share their expertise and industry perspective on leading technical projects within the Salesforce ecosystem, bringing depth in designing and developing components, complex data models, and integrations. Technical Architects at Thunder are problem-solvers, consulting closely with their teammates and our customer’s teams.

Technical skill set should include system design and architecture, Lightning Component development, Flows definition, Salesforce configuration, Apex class development, and API integration.

Roles + Responsibilities

Reporting into our Technical Architecture Community Lead, the Technical Architect will design solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform and 3rd party tools, as needed.

The TA is responsible for application design, development and support of Salesforce-related projects. Ideal candidates will demonstrate progressive leadership in the full software development life cycle, and work closely with our customers to ensure we are recommending the optimal solutions/architecture.

You'll create diagrams, draft design documentation, and employ best practices to lead the technical aspects of Salesforce implementation and optimization projects from inception through support. You will ensure that the system meets the expectations of the client’s business, that proper testing is conducted, and performance is monitored by overseeing the development team.

  • Design and manage the execution of test plans to ensure quality
  • Help to define and enforce coding and documentation standards at Thunder
  • Remain current on Salesforce product and technical capabilities
