Role: Accountant (FTC)
Location: Remote (with a requirement for some travel to HALO’s Thornhill, Dumfries office)

About the role:
The accountant will support HALO through the statutory audit of its financial statements, coordinating and liaising with the auditors and preparing high quality financial information to support the audit requirements. The accountant will also support the wider accounting requirements of the organisation in areas such as period close, management reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation as required.
This is a fixed term contract for 6-12 months to support the finance team during a period of transition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and reconciliations.
- Coordinate the compiling of data for submission to the auditors, escalating any delays or issues.
- Support the monitoring and completion of audit requests and submission to auditors, using the audit firm’s information management portal.
- Support with any audit adjustments and the preparation of the final financial statements.
- Other accounting support tasks as may be required, such as reconciliation and review to support the team with month end close.
