About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to join our stellar sales organization as an Account Director! This consultative sales position will work specifically with our channel partner customers representing the marketing agency and consulting services portfolio of The Channel Company.

A successful candidate will not only understand the company’s products and services but also have a comprehensive understanding of how they fit into the fabric of the technology reseller channel in which technology vendors and their partners operate. The company’s sales approach, which is critical to its overall success, is for this position to be able to build and maintain relationships with customers over a long period of time, then convert an understanding of the issues facing our customers’ business to make actionable recommendations at a high strategic level regarding which products and services might benefit the client. The successful candidate should not only be able to employ sales techniques to close business, but also equally importantly must be able to proactively identify business issues and think strategically about how to solve them. The successful candidate is able to work tirelessly and within tight deadlines when necessary.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required. Marketing or Communications preferred
  • 5+ years sales experience within the technology industry, preferably directly to channel partners
  • Strong selling background in marketing related services
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Teams for collaboration
  • Strong Salesforce.com knowledge
  • Must have solid grasp of business principles and familiarity with sales and marketing in the technology channel specifically.
  • A true passion for sales; ability to present ideas clearly and convincingly.
  • Strong math skills; ability to price proposals, calculate rates, and create P&Ls for proposed projects.
  • Accountable for reaching revenue growth targets and strict annual sales quotas.
  • Willing and able to travel to client sites, company events, and company business meetings.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes; ability to problem solve. Ability to work efficiently and independently; great team-player mentality – consistently display world-class professionalism.
  • Strong time management; oral & written communication skills with an ability to articulate rational to clients, other team members, and stakeholders Understanding of The Channel Company structure is a plus.
