Your challenge:
As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll ensure the smooth technical operations of our Berlin office, acting as the first point of contact for IT support and creating a welcoming, reliable tech environment for all colleagues. From troubleshooting system issues to preparing hardware for new joiners, you’ll make sure everyone feels supported and empowered to do their best work. Your hands-on approach, clear communication, and adaptability will be key to enhancing the everyday experience of our teams and helping Taxfix scale with confidence.
Your responsibilities:
You’ll be the bridge between people and technology at Taxfix, helping colleagues stay connected, productive, and supported by ensuring their tech just works — efficiently and reliably.
Act as the first point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting issues quickly and communicating solutions clearly and empathetically.
Diagnose and resolve system, software, and hardware problems methodically to minimise downtime.
Lead onboarding and off-boarding processes by preparing hardware, setting up accounts, and welcoming new team members with smooth, supportive tech experiences.
Manage and maintain the Berlin office’s IT hardware, procurement, and inventory to ensure everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
Support the Corporate IT team with device management, identity management, and initiatives that strengthen our IT infrastructure and workplace security.
Create and maintain documentation and internal knowledge bases that empower colleagues to navigate common IT needs independently.
Your profile:
You have at least one year of IT experience in a corporate or SMB environment, with a hands-on, people-first approach to support.
You are approachable and genuinely enjoy helping colleagues solve their tech challenges, drawing from prior experience in customer service or support roles.
You are based in Berlin and can support our office onsite, bringing energy and reliability to in-person onboarding and everyday IT support.
You are technically adept, especially in macOS environments, and passionate about finding smart, efficient solutions to IT problems.
You communicate clearly and empathetically, translating technical concepts into easy-to-understand guidance for non-technical colleagues.
You thrive in fast-changing environments, staying flexible and methodical even when priorities shift quickly.
You speak fluent English; German skills are a bonus but not required.
