THE ROLE
As a PR Data Analyst, you will leverage your passion and love of data to aid the PR department in the creation of compelling, creative, data-driven content that increases visibility in LLMs. Reporting directly to the PR Manager, you’ll focus on the collection and analysis of internal and third-party data to create stories that appeal to international markets.
Please note this is a 100% remote/work-from-home position.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mine and analyze data for stories, exploring internal and third-party data sources (resumes, hiring trends, user activity) to find patterns and insights.
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, data copilots) to summarize findings and identify content angles, partnering with the PR and content writers for validation.
- Use tools such as Python, Google Sheets, and web-scraping platforms to collect, clean, and prepare datasets that uncover insights for campaigns.
- Design and run small research projects, such as creating and deploying short surveys to build ‘state of’ reports and trend summaries with the support of the content and PR team.
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that resonate with media and our brand’s audiences.
- Monitor public datasets, industry trends, and social conversations and proactively highlight emerging topics for PR or content stories.
- Partner with content, PR, and SEO departments to package data insights into press releases, blog posts, and visuals.
- Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and transparency across all outputs.
THE MUST-HAVES
- 3-5 years of experience in data storytelling for communications.
- Strong command of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc) and ability to use for analysis, summarization, and ideation.
- Strong proficiency in sourcing data using web scraping tools, Python, or R.
- Strong writing, interpretation, and storytelling skills.
- Comfort working with raw data in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Understanding of ethical and legal considerations when collecting and using third-party data.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- English proficiency, both speaking and writing.
THE NICE-TO-HAVES
- Familiarity with third-party data sources used in international markets.
- Background in data journalism
