Storeyline Resumes, a division of Careerminds, is one of the largest resume writing and career branding firms in the United States, helping professionals navigate career transitions for more than 26 years. THE ROLE

Now, we are expanding into the outplacement and workforce transition space. We are looking for an experienced, highly driven Business Development Representative to help us build this division from the ground up by developing relationships with small and medium-sized businesses that need resume writing, career coaching, LinkedIn optimization, and job search support services for employees impacted by layoffs, restructuring, downsizing, acquisitions, or organizational changes.

This is not an “order taker” role.

This is true business development.

You will be opening doors, creating opportunities, building relationships, and helping establish Storeyline as a trusted outplacement partner in a highly competitive market.

There is no giant inbound lead machine waiting for you.

This role is for someone who knows how to create momentum where none currently exists.

This is a 100% remote/work-from-home role.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and prospect small and mid-sized companies experiencing layoffs, restructuring, mergers, or workforce changes
  • Develop relationships with HR leaders, Operations Executives, CEOs, Founders, and decision-makers
  • Introduce and position Storeyline’s outplacement and career transition services
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn networking, referrals, partnerships, and strategic follow-up
  • Build and manage a pipeline from scratch
  • Create opportunities for presentations, discovery calls, and proposals
  • Collaborate with leadership to help shape pricing, positioning, service offerings, and go-to-market strategy
  • Track outreach, pipeline activity, and sales performance
  • Represent the company professionally while handling sensitive workforce transition conversations with empathy and discretion
  • Opening doors with companies that have never heard of Storeyline
  • Building long-term relationships with HR and leadership teams
  • Helping companies support exiting employees with dignity and professionalism
  • Creating recurring partnerships and referral opportunities
  • Helping us establish an entirely new revenue channel for the business

THE MUST-HAVES

  • Proven B2B sales or business development experience
  • Experience selling HR services, staffing, recruiting, outplacement, benefits, SaaS, consulting, or workforce solutions strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success building a territory, division, or client base from the ground up
  • Comfortable with prospecting, outreach, and relationship-building
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to navigate rejection and stay motivated in a challenging sales environment
  • Strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and build long-term partnerships
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and highly accountable
  • Authorization to work for any US employer.
