Overview:As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization's data architecture. This role requires expertise in data modeling, database design, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and ensuring data security and integrity. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient database structures and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Modeling and Database Design:

   • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements.

   • Optimize database performance through effective design and indexing strategies.

   • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all databases.

2. ETL Processes:

   • Develop and implement ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.

   • Design data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.

3. Data Governance and Compliance:

   • Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards.

   • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

   • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to implement data solutions that meet business needs.

5. Technology Evaluation and Implementation:

   • Evaluate new technologies and tools related to data management and recommend innovative solutions.

   • Implement and maintain data architecture frameworks, standards, and practices.

6. Documentation and Training:

   • Create documentation for data architecture designs, standards, and processes.

   • Provide training and support to end-users on data access and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.

• In-depth knowledge of data modeling and database design principles (e.g., relational, dimensional, NoSQL).

• Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).

• Experience with ETL tools and processes.

• Strong understanding of data governance and data security principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP) are a plus.
