SweetRush has an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join our Client Solutions team!

Who We Are

SweetRush is a consulting, design, and staffing firm specializing in HR-related services that help foster life-centered businesses and organizations. Our work includes designing unique learning experiences using agency-level graphics and leading-edge technology; creating high-performing cultures, leaders, and teams; and helping our clients grow their learning teams with qualified professionals.

Many of our clients are household names with large international operations, while others are small nonprofits whose work we value as essential to the world. We try to balance the work we do for profit with the work we do to spread good things in the world.

SweetRush is a leader in the field of learning and development, making use of emerging technologies (like VR and AR), games, storytelling, chatbots, interactive virtual and in-person experiences, and so on, all while grounding our work in vibrant and impactful human-centered design. The many awards we win every year reflect the care we put into our craft and our collaborations with clients. We’ve been grateful to have won awards with Hilton, Google, Bridgestone, Adidas, SHRM, and numerous others.

We are a completely virtual, tight-knit, talented community that spans the globe, a culture-forward team that values diversity, respect, and caring. Our folks tend to stick around, as do our clients.

We like to think we stand apart from competitors for the uniqueness and innovation of everything we create—and for who we are. And we’re committed to hiring talent that’s as creative, innovative, and caring as everyone on our team. This is where you come in…

About the Role

The Solution Architect (SA) is a key member of the Client Solutions team, the team within SweetRush tasked with designing brilliant solutions for our clients’ challenges and converting client inquiries to closed business. SAs partner with the client and internal stakeholders to co-create a learning solution, budget, and project plan that addresses the client’s goals, challenges, and constraints. This individual embodies the SweetRush culture and is a key partner to SweetRush clients throughout their experience.

Do you love to craft solutions, strategize, and ‘win’ in competitive bidding situations? Are you great at building trust with others? Do you get excited about presenting your creative and fun ideas? Will you bring a sense of humor and a calm demeanor in the face of timeline-driven challenges?

The SA is involved in the beginning, crafting solutions, and in this capacity will affect a significant number of projects. However, at some point, you will hand off the project to the project team, so you will not be hands-on in further development. Being consultative and impacting a lot of projects, but not doing the actual development must be appealing to you.

Responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and crafting client solutions can be a demanding job that often is timeline-driven and exists within the context of ‘competition.’ Does this energize you or stress you out? If it energizes, read on!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting and Solution Design:
    • Apply instructional design expertise and SweetRush capabilities to develop solutions for clients' training challenges.
    • Lead scoping meetings with clients to understand their needs and propose effective solutions.
    • Lead internal discussions to define solutions with input from the internal team.
    • Embody and represent SweetRush’s values of partnership, fairness, creativity, and customer service.
  • Client Connection & Presentations:
    • Captivate audiences with a dynamic and upbeat presentation style.
    • Provide real-time recommendations, foster discussions, and build trust.
    • Tailor presentations to resonate with diverse audiences.
    • Effectively convey complex concepts with simplicity.
  • Work Effort/Timeline Estimation/Planning and Documents:
    • Estimate work effort using SweetRush-developed tools and collaborate with functional experts.
    • Co-design solutions with instructional design, creative design, and engineering experts.
    • Write comprehensive proposals aligning with SweetRush’s unique value proposition.
    • Lead capabilities presentations and craft compelling responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
    • Consult on resource assignments based on project and client needs.
  • Project Transition and On-boarding:
    • Onboard project managers, instructional designers, creative directors, and technical leads.
    • Attend initial client meetings to ensure a smooth transition from scoping to project kick-off.
    • Engage SweetRush team leaders in decision-making processes related to pricing and negotiations.
  • Project Management for Business Development:
    • Participate in internal business development meetings and maintain CRM accuracy.
    • Delegate tasks to the solution enablement and solution design teams within the Client Solutions team.
    • Determine next steps and deadlines, ensuring timely execution by the team.
  • Account Management for Business Development:
    • Collaborate with business development professionals and project managers to manage accounts.
    • Identify and qualify sales opportunities with existing clients, maintaining strong relationships.
    • Develop strategies for client engagement and pursue re-engagement opportunities.
    • Meet with key decision-makers and establish networks within existing client

Key Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of instructional design and the ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions.
  • Expertise in project management and the ability to guide and engage team members effectively.
  • Comfort in navigating ambiguity and adapting to unique client needs.
  • Affection for the creative process and the ability to recommend solutions even in uncertain situations.
  • Professional demeanor in person and on camera (i.e. professional video background and attire), clear and concise communication.

At SweetRush, we're driven by a profound belief in the power of human potential. Since our founding in 2001 by Andrei Hedstrom and Arturo Schwartzberg, our mission has been to create impactful and life-centered experiences that help individuals and organizations thrive. We started with a simple yet powerful idea: to build a company grounded in caring, commitment, and world-class talent. This philosophy has been the bedrock of our success, fostering a culture of near-zero employee turnover and nurturing long-lasting partnerships with our clients. We are a team of over 200 passionate professionals, and since 2009, we have embraced a fully remote work model, allowing us to collaborate with the best talent from across the globe. Our journey began with a focus on strategic marketing and web development, but we soon found our true calling in the world of performance improvement and creating custom learning and communication solutions.

Our work is all about infusing creativity into every solution we deliver. We believe in instructional creativity to devise unique and effective answers to our clients' challenges, artistic creativity to craft visually stunning and engaging user experiences, and technical creativity to harness the power of emerging technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and gamification. This creative lens extends to everything we do, from our project management methodologies to the way we treat our teammates, clients, and the planet. We are proud to have partnered with over 100 of the world's most successful organizations, including Google, Hilton, and IKEA, as well as 40 non-profits, to help them achieve their goals. Our dedication to excellence has been recognized with numerous industry awards, but our greatest reward is the trust and loyalty of our clients and the positive impact we make together. We are more than just a company; we are a community dedicated to making the world a better place, one learning experience at a time.
