What you will be doing in the role of Manager, 3-Day Fundraising Platforms

The Manager, 3-Day Fundraising Platforms works to drive revenue through implementation of national peer-to-peer engagement and fundraising strategies and best practices using our technology and e-communication platforms. This position is responsible for working with the Project Director, Program Leads, Marketing, Technology and Operations departments to develop and leverage digital resources to drive online recruitment, registration, engagement, and participant activation.

The Manager serves as a subject matter expert to the Community Development team and all other Komen departments, provides strategic advice, guidance, resources and evaluation for development, management, and implementation of digital engagement for 3-Day events. The Manager works with internal and external cross-functional teams in the development of models and supporting resources to build the capacity of the events, meet or exceed standards of excellence, and design solutions that ensure alignment with the strategic direction of the organization.

What you will bring to the table

  • Drives fundraising success through the development and delivery of overall fundraising strategies and industry best practices.
  • Collaborates with program leadership, Operations, IT, and Marketing departments to lead innovations and applications to grow local Market peer to peer fundraising events.
  • Leads the strategy, design, and development of coordinated and consistent online fundraising platforms via online tools including Salesforce, Blackbaud’s Luminate Online & TeamRaiser, Donor Drive, event Apps and Hustle.
  • Leads and develops overall e-comm strategy for the event communication plan. Oversees the coordination of content creation and design including stationery and images.
  • Leads the analysis of the performance of email, event blueprints and websites, fundraising tools, Google Analytics, and other systems and software to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend next steps to improve effectiveness.
  • Supports Technology department with website customization and management when necessary.
  • Works with program team to continually employ industry best practices for online constituent communications, marketing, and fundraising.
  • Proactively develops, plans, and facilitates advanced training opportunities to local and national staff through Learning and Development, internal meetings, and customized trainings/webinars.
  • Oversees relations and deliverables with outside agencies.
  • Represents the organization as a non-profit leader in the P2P industry and online fundraising space.
  • All other duties as assigned.

We know you will have and be able to

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit, Business, or other related fields.
  • 7+ years of experience in online event fundraising, development, or non-profit management.
  • Extensive knowledge of online communication and fundraising strategies, motivators, and techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of online peer-to-peer event administration and management.
  • Deep understanding of Luminate Online, TeamRaiser and Salesforce.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage several projects with varying priorities at one time, and with various cross-functional internal partners.
  • Ability to process information from a wide range of sources, resolving disparate feedback and integrating different points of view.
  • Comfortable with revenue targets and development-driven deliverables.
  • Ability to identify various strategies (operational, logistical, and financial) to maximize fundraising events.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and opportunities.
  • Strong working knowledge of endurance program fundraising strategies, best practices, and systems.
  • Prior national/regional peer fundraising event management experience.
  • Direct experience managing online strategy and implementation.
  • Experience as a hands-on leader, willing to roll up their sleeves and build programs in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • Professional, mature communication style and the ability to interact with corporate partners, executives, leadership volunteers, board members, high value donors.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage others in the achievement of revenue goals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other organizational-wide adopted systems such as People Soft, Blackbaud, Salesforce, etc.
  • Travel requirements required outside of your home office will be up to 25% or more depending on our business needs.

Approximate salary $56,000 to $75,000/annually, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location.
