JOB SUMMARY
The Market Strategist is responsible for conducting comprehensive data analysis, performing research, and leading projects related to our organization's objectives. Additionally, you will play a key role in planning and executing events to support our initiatives.
Starting annual salary of $100,000.00. Employment offers will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis and Research:
- Research, collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets using query and programming languages, to extract relevant insights and provide actionable recommendations.
- Apply statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend analysis to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Stay up to date with the latest research methodologies and industry best practices.
- Provide well-rounded, “one source of truth”, understanding of business performance through development of storylines that supports internal and external communication.
- Contributes to the development of category projections, identifying growth areas that provide risks and opportunities to Stearns growth aspirations.
- Supports development of new analytical capabilities and best practices, exploring new methodologies, frameworks and data sources.
- Assess and determine the appropriate modeling technique to use for the particular project being worked on.
- Independently structure project plans for model builds and understand inter-dependency of steps.
Project Management:
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project alignment and facilitate effective communication.
- Can effectively execute multiple projects at a time.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and coordinate various events, including conferences, seminars, webinars, and workshops.
- Coordinate event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and attendee registration.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
- Evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement, incorporating feedback into future event planning.
- Vendor management, including budget oversight and coordination with various vendors.
REQUIREMENTS
- Travel up to 25% of the time
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, twist, bend, sit, walk use hands to twist, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, such as computer mouse, computer keyboard, calculator, stapler, telephone, staple puller, etc., reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as data science, business analytics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in data analysis, market research, or similar roles.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Experience in event planning is helpful.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to handle sophisticated data sets.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, data visualization software, and Microsoft Excel.
