Responsibilities
As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for the further development of one of our core product areas.
You will take over the responsibility for this domain from a design point of view, working closely with your counterparts from Product Management and Engineering.
You will develop detailed concepts, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity mockups, translating research insights and user feedback into convincing designs.
You will be responsible for planning and conducting user research activities, including user interviews and usability testing.
You always keep the big picture in mind, ensuring cross-product consistency and a seamless user experience.
You will utilize and contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
You try to push projects forward with initiative and innovative ideas.
You will support and mentor less senior team members, providing sparring and feedback to help them grow.
You proactively take on team-wide initiatives outside your daily scope – whether it's running team sessions, maintaining the design system, or launching new internal processes.
Requirements
You have deep, hands-on experience as a UI/UX designer across digital platforms, with the ability to take full ownership of product domains and drive them forward.
You work creatively, structured and independently and are not afraid to question ideas and concepts to achieve the best result considering a holistic user experience.
You have strong presentation skills and are able to clearly communicate design ideas and solutions to diverse stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams.
You have relevant experience in working with design guidelines, pattern libraries and the application of human interface/material design guidelines.
You have a good sense for innovation and intuitive solutions and are always looking for new UI/UX trends to share within and outside your team.
You are confident in using Figma, Miro or comparable design and wireframe tools.
You have a very good command of English. German is a plus.
The Team
In our Platform design team, we focus on the holistic optimization of the entire Statista platform to provide a positive and intuitive user experience. We work closely with our internal clients to develop customized solutions and implement them visually. We take care of a wide range of tasks, including the further development and optimization of the platform itself and the products, the development of new features, and the maintenance and enhancement of our design system.
